Description
We believe this is a form of very fine grained siltstone. When slabbed this material feels and sounds like porcelain. Because of it’s hardness and small grain size it takes a nice polish.
While the green coloration may come from any number of minerals, both the green and orange colors are likely to be caused by iron.
