We purchased this chatoyant malachite & cuprite in quartz many years ago at the rock and mineral show in Sierra Vista, Arizona. A show we looked forward to every year.
The gentleman we purchased this beautiful material from told us that it came from private property in southern Arizona. He was only able to collect a small amount at a time because the landowner required him to fill the hole after he was done at the end of the day so that his cattle wouldn’t get injured.
It’s an absolutely beautiful material.
