This Mexican Red Lace Agate is absolutely beautiful. We are very pleased with this material and wish we would have purchased more. We purchased 5 lbs which turned out to be two pieces. One piece of agate had quite a bit of clear area on it but the patterns appear to be nice.
We cut a few slabs to see what it might look like slabbed out. We were not disappointed. The clear areas produce some nice contrast however most of it is too crumbly and delicate for use in cabochons. The areas around the colored portion of the stone are pretty solid with only a fracture or two.
The other piece we received is about as nice as one could possibly hope for. It was a smaller piece but was absolutely amazing.
