Holley Blue Agate, often referred to as Holly Blue Agate, comes from a location in Oregon that is now posted “No Trespassing” on private land. Because this beautiful material can no longer be obtained it has become quite expensive reaching several hundred dollars a pound for good material.
Although it is called “Blue Agate”, it is most often more purple or violet in color rather than blue as it’s name would imply.
