There are countless lapidary slabs of rocks & minerals that are not considered to be jasper or agate. Many of these materials tend to be somewhat softer than agate or jasper however there are a few that are harder such as corundum or diamond.Some popular minerals include turquoise, chrysocolla, rhyolite, variscite, marble, sodalite just to name a few.
