Description

Victoria Stone, also known as Imori Stone, is a unique, proprietary material. Developed by Dr. S. Iimori, it is created through a high-pressure fusion of natural minerals, including quartz, feldspar, magnesite, calcite, and fluorspar. The process includes a controlled cooling period lasting 35-40 days.

Production ceased in the 1980s with Dr. Iimori’s passing, and the secrets of its creation were lost. This distinctive, chatoyant stone remains unmatched, as its production method has not been duplicated, although Bridewell Stone, a similar material, has recently been developed using different materials and processes. The limited supply of Victoria Stone has made it highly sought-after by collectors.

We were fortunate to acquire a few small pieces at an auction held by the Old Pueblo Lapidary Club in the 1990s.

We do not offer any products for sale at this time. (See our “About Us” page)
