In 2019 we acquired a limited selection of four exceptional Mexican lace agates. These include Red Lace Agate, Rosetta Lace Agate, Flor de Durazno (Flower of Peach) Agate, and Laguna Lace Agate. The specimens originate from the Noriega claim in Northern Chihuahua, Mexico.

Red Lace Agate

Red Lace Agate was a new one for us. The patterns and bright red color were amazing. The clear areas were more like quartz crystals than chalcedony, so there are areas that break apart easily.

Red Lace Agate

Rosetta Lace Agate

This agate features nice colors and well-defined banding, which should produce excellent slabs when cut.

Flor de Durazno (Flower of Peach) Agate

While the colors are impressive, the banding is not as clearly defined as in the other three specimens.

Laguna Lace Agate

Among the four agates, the Laguna Lace Agate exhibited the finest banding. Each piece yields exceptional slabs, making it our top selection overall.
