Description

Mary Ellen Jasper came from the Mary Ellen Iron Mine in St. Louis County, Minnesota as early as the early 1900’s.  This multi-colored jasper is actually a form of Stromatolite, a fossil algae that is believed to be one of the first lifeforms on earth.  We purchased this unique material from Utah Dump Digger.
