Description

Sodalite can be found in various regions globally and is frequently confused with Lapis Lazuli due to their similar appearances. Both stones feature white calcite bands. However, Sodalite typically exhibits a darker coloration, sometimes appearing nearly black, while Lapis Lazuli tends to be brighter and often includes pyrite inclusions. It’s worth noting that some Sodalite specimens display peach or pink calcite bands instead of the usual white. Therefore, caution is advised when purchasing either stone, as misidentification is common in the market.
