Description

Polka Dot Agate is often referred to as Polka Dot Jasper because it is often somewhere between a jasper and an agate.  The Polka Dot Agate Mine is located in Ashwood, Oregon.  The town of Ashwood was once a gold and silver mining location.  The Polka Dot Agate mine was once a place you could pay to dig your own agate however it is reported that you can no longer dig for agate at that location.  Rock & Gem Magazine has a great article about this beautiful material.
