Description
The location of the original Ocean Jasper deposit is now reportedly exhausted, and the material is no longer obtainable from that source, with the exception of remaining old stock that may still be available. Although new deposits have been located in the same general area, these recent finds do not appear to possess the same characteristics and visual appeal as the classic Ocean Jasper. The unique name “Ocean Jasper” aptly describes its origins, as the original mineral deposit was submerged underwater for the majority of the time, only accessible to collectors and miners during the brief periods of extremely low tides.
