Description
The formation of this hydrothermal breccia occurred through the forcible injection of hydrothermal fluids into rock, inducing fracturing. As the silica-rich hydrothermal fluids solidified into chalcedony, they encapsulated the fragmented rock particles, thereby generating hydrothermal breccia.
Variations in the mineral composition at the formation location and the type of host rock influence the diverse colors exhibited by both the brecciated host rock and the silica (chalcedony).
