Description

Gary Green Jasper or Larsonite comes from McDermitt, Oregon, on the Nevada/Oregon border. It’s named after Gary McIntosh and Ray Larson, who were the first to mine this beautiful material. Gary Green Jasper or Larsonite has been marketed for years as a “petrified wood bog”; however, the current mine owner is marketing it as Freedom Jasper because it is now thought to be a geothermal venting jasper. It has beautiful colors of green, blue, and brownish red.
