Description
We picked up this jade end cut at a local shop. The original jewelry maker this came from passed away. His partner at the shop isn’t interested in the rocks so he sold them. This was the only piece of Black Mountain Jade he had.
We were unable to find much information about this beautiful jade. We did find one example online that was similar in color. The said it was quite rare and it was priced accordingly.
We are not sure if this is a nephrite jade or a jadeite jade or if it’s a true jade at all. This looks more like either jadeite, or possibly Vesuvianite, also called Happy Camp Jade, which is not a true jade.
