Description

Polka Dot Agate, sometimes called Polka Dot Jasper, sits in a fascinating space between the two stone types, agate and jasper, sometimes referred to as “jaspagate”. The Polka Dot Agate Mine is situated in Ashwood, Oregon, a town with a rich history rooted in gold and silver mining. While the mine once offered the unique opportunity for visitors to dig their own agate, that practice is reportedly no longer available. For those interested in learning more about this captivating stone,  Rock & Gem Magazine features an insightful article.
