Description
Gary Green Jasper, also known as Larsonite, originates from McDermitt, Oregon, situated on the Nevada/Oregon border. It is named after Gary McIntosh and Ray Larson, the pioneers in mining this remarkable material. While previously marketed as “petrified wood bog,” the current mine owner now refers to it as Freedom Jasper, reflecting the recent understanding of its origin as a geothermal venting jasper. This stone showcases beautiful hues of green, blue, and brownish red.
