Description
Brazilian Agate is one of the most common forms of agate sold in home decoration stores. They are often dyed bright colors and sometimes labeled as natural. Natural Brazilian Agate is not brightly colored but it can be wonderfully beautiful with its naturally occurring banding.
Agate with limited natural coloration are frequently dyed to augment their color intensity and accentuate the banding patterns. Once slabbed and cleaned, the agate is immersed in a heated dye solution for an extended duration, allowing the color to penetrate the pores of the agate, ultimately yielding a vibrant and colorful agate slab.
